Porto is the second largest city in Portugal, after Lisbon and it is located along the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal. Porto is one of the oldest European centers and registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Porto has a semi- Mediterranean climate, although it's affected by the Atlantic ocean.
If you are an adorer of good wine, then port wine is a good choice. Port wine is named after Porto and it’s one of the most famous international exports of Portugal.
But if you are looking for adventure, then you can visit the beautiful area of Torreira, in north Porto, where body-boarders can feel the adrenaline all year round.
