Salto Grande trail is an easy hike, taking you onto a straight road until you reach the waterfall. Although the fall is not very high, the power and the volume of the water is tremendous as it drains from Lago Nordenskjöld and feeds Lago Pehoe.
From there, you can hike north towards the Mirador de Los Cuernos by the shoreline of the magnificent Lago Nordenskjöld, and admire the impressive scenery around you. In every step you take, the views of this dramatic land take your breath away.
You can hike this trail all year round, but the best time to visit Torres del Paine is between November and February. Be very well prepared in regards with gear, food and clothing because the weather is changeable and unpredictable with high winds, rain showers, long hot days during summer, snow and everything else you can may of.
