The beach is covered with a deep layer of sand and it is suitable for water sport activities and surfing in particular. Recommended season to visit the spot for such an activity is from April to October, with busiest months being during summer.
Best wind direction is from south, capable of forming waves, reaching a height of more than 10 ft/3 m. Wave quality is Regional Classic while the waves are beach-break with right and left direction. It has a good swell direction of north while its size starts working at 3 ft-5 ft / 1.0 m-1.5 m and holds up to more than 10 ft/ 3 m. The only caution is the rocky coastline, especially near the harbor.
Sandend is a village with many bed and breakfast hotels and restaurants. There is a car park near the beach and public toilets.
