Actually, with a vertical descent of over 1219 m/4000 ft long, it provides the longest flight available in Great Britain.
On the west side, the landing area is only at 30 m/98 ft above sea level! There are many points available for a take-off. The best is from the peak of Five Finger Gully, at 1200 m/3937 ft.
