Tobago combines a tropical holiday destination and an adrenaline sport destination and that’s why it attracts hundreds of visitors all year round. Favored by the excellent weather conditions, this island provides a wide range of watersports. Lambeau is located on the southwest side of Tobago, close to the capital city, Scarborough.
It is an incredible spot that welcomes kitesurfers and windsurfers who like waves. The beach is long and sandy with enough space to launch and land your kite by the rivermouth. The ideal period for kitesurfing here is from December through May, when constant winds blow between 14 to 18 knots/25.9 to 33.3 kph. Lambeau accommodates intermediate and advanced kiters. The best time for beginners is from August to early December, at low tide, when the water is smooth and shallow.
The trade winds blow from the east and they are usually onshore or side onshore. Keep in mind that the location provides parking right behind the launching area. Note: be careful of strong currents and jelly fish.
