Tumwater Canyon is located close to Leavenworth Town, at thirty minutes away from Wenatchee. The river run starts from Tumwater campground to Leavenworth. It is 7.5 mi/12 km long, with a class 5 difficulty level for normal flows and range from 850 to 6000 c.f.s.
The river is ideal for advanced rafting enthusiasts and is considered to be one of the best white water rafting destination in Washington. The river starts out with good class 3 rapids, but the action begins once you cross the old hydroelectric dam.
You will run through fun continuous boulder garden rapids, holes and one of the longest class 5 rapids, called Chaos Cascade.
