Berthoud Pass is located between Idaho Springs and Winter Park and is one of the closest areas in Denver for whitewater rafting. It belongs to Boulder County and is just an hour away.
Breckenridge town is located 9603 ft/2927 m above sea level of the Continental Divide, on the western slope. The town boasts about world class amenities, like whitewater rafting. Breckenridge is near many of Colorado’s best rivers for whitewater rafting, making it a magnificent place.
Rafting through great canyons and mountain valleys offers great experiences, being one of the best activities near Breckenridge. There are full day, half day trips and half day with lunch trips that are appropriate for the novice to experts, from the first trip to the hardest thrill seeker trip.
There are rapids of Class II, III and IV. You should bring with you shorts or swimsuits, sunglasses and sunblock and some dry clothes.
