Longmont is located northeast of the county seat of Boulder, about 31 mi/49.9 km north-northwest of the Colorado state capitol in Denver. It is a home rule municipality in Boulder, Weld Counties in the U.S. state of Colorado.
It is an easy going community only 16 mi/25.8 km away from Boulder. Near Boulder lies Valley Ranch or Foothills. It is an excellent place for mountain biking. It is a great workout and it is close to Boulder. There are magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and vistas on that enjoyable beginner’s ride.
It is a 13.2 mi/21.3 km trail with minimal elevation gain. The 4 mi/6.4 km riding is on singletrack, 2.2 mi/3.5 km riding on paved roads and 7 mi/11.3 km riding on dirt roads. The trailhead’s elevation is 5.350 ft/1.621 m and top elevation reaches up to 5.600 ft/1.707 m. Skill level is regarding physical level, moderate and as for technical level, easiest to moderate. Trail type is out and back.
