You can explore over 200 routes, with different physical level, distance and difficulty. Enjoy the seaside and the natural park Cabo da Gata, a spot full of unique vegetation, and animal species on their breeding shelter, or the nearby mountains on dirt roads and paths up to 3300 ft/1005 m above sea level.
If you like the mountain terrain, exciting routes are the Peseta-Marcha de Araoz-Veredas Gador-Benahadux, and the Enix-Alhama-Gador. Both routes are laid on mountains around Almeria, giving you a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean sea and nearby area. You can also visit Roquetas de Mar and San Jose.
Mountain biking in Almeria is very easy, you will love the quite streets (sometimes just deserted), the popularity of the sport, and the good surface roads. Moving all around Almeria is safe, keep avoiding crowded areas, the traffic is low. Enjoy the mountain dirt road routes, on a terrain full of slopes, downhills and jumps.
