Almeria is a province of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, between Enix, Pechina and Nijar. With mountain sierras and 40 km / 25 mi seacoast terrain, Almeria is a great destination for extreme sport enthusiasts.

Full of mountain bike routes, biking in Almeria will take you from sea to sky, anytime of the year. Almeria has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with hot summers and warm winters. It is one of the sunniest, warmest and driest places in Europe with low annually rainfall. Almeria has an average of 10 hours of sunshine everyday in the summer time. The temperature is from 26°C  to 30°C/78.80 to 86°F during summer.

You can explore over 200 routes, with different physical level, distance and difficulty. Enjoy the seaside and the natural park Cabo da Gata, a spot full of unique vegetation, and animal species on their breeding shelter, or the nearby mountains on dirt roads and paths up to 3300 ft/1005 m above sea level.

If you like the mountain terrain, exciting routes are the Peseta-Marcha de Araoz-Veredas Gador-Benahadux, and the Enix-Alhama-Gador. Both routes are laid on mountains around Almeria, giving you a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean sea and nearby area. You can also visit Roquetas de Mar and San Jose.

Mountain biking in Almeria is very easy, you will love the quite streets (sometimes just deserted), the popularity of the sport, and the good surface roads.
