Overall the city is surrounded by Avon, Heathcote and Waimakariri Rivers, and the Canterbury Plains. The climate is considered to be temperate, with cool and mild summers (maximum temperature 23°C/73°F), and cold and frosty winters (temperatures fall below 0°C/32°F frequently).

Take-off from the top of Port Hill (the highest take-off site in the city) and experience the thrill of flying like a bird for about 20 min! Enjoy the breathtaking view of Southern Alps, the spectacular Canterbury Plains and the impressive Port of Lyttelton.
You will learn the basics, since the instructor will inform you on how the wind and the breaks work while paragliding. Don’t forget to bring the camera with you!
