Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, located on the Swan River. The climate here is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Leighton Beach is located just at the north of Fremantle. It is a beautiful destination that offers to locals and visitors a variety of leisure activities and water-sports. It is popular amongst surfers, windsurfers and kiters, as it provides great sea breeze conditions, especially from October to April. Leighton beach is an exposed beach break with very reliable surf conditions.

During winter months surfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1.5 m-2 m/5 ft-6 ft and holds up to 2.5 m/8 ft. Offshore winds blow from the east, southeast and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. In addition, the best tide position is all tides. Leighton is suitable for surfers of all levels. Keep in mind that, it is a crowded site, especially during weekends. Note: be careful of rips.
