One of the biggest ski resorts near Queenstown is Snow Park NZ (34 mi/55 km to the Northeast). The site is open from mid June to early October and offers a great variety of facilities.

It is considered as a freestyle terrain with a great number of rails, jumps, box runs and half-pipes, and consists one of the most popular destinations for the freestyle snowboarders.
