Barra da Tijuca is a southwestern borough of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, known for its natural and opulent beauty. The mild to strong wind conditions, creates short waves less than a meter tall, ideal for beginner kite surfers, as for the advanced kiters will be a chance to improve their skills when wind gets stronger. Summer period conditions are suitable for beginners, winter and spring ones are the best seasons if you want stronger winds. Locations to kite: Playa Serena, Playa Roquetas and Aguadulce. For the beginners there are a lot of instruction schools offering courses. You will learn how to control your kite or board, and instructors will teach you everything about wind and water navigation.
