Brenton On Lake offers an amazing kite-surfing experience at the far side of the spot where the easterly winds come from the Knysna heads. The spot accommodates both the novice and the expert kite-surfer with predominant easterly and south-easterly wind direction.
Although the venturi winds blow all year through, during winter it blows with a much lower frequency.
Wind strengths here are at 16-25 knots with the best kite-surfing season running from April to December with swells at 1-4 m/3.2-13 ft. The spot is best ridden during high tide but one needs to be careful of the sharp objects as you walk into the water.
