D9 Wreck is another popular dive site, located in Cockburn Sound. It is a wreck of a dredge that sunk in 1962. This intact dredge lies at a depth of 13.5 m/44.3 ft. Visibility here is medium and varies from 5 m/16.4 ft to 10 m/32.8 ft. In addition, the location is suitable for divers of all levels.
Furthermore, divers are able to come across with an abundance of marine life around the wreck. Expect to come across crabs, toadfish, boxfish, morwongs and giant cuttlefish, to name just a few. Keep in mind that, you should be cautious against silt. Last but not least, book a boat dive in one of the many scuba centers located in the area.
