Currimundi beach is a sandy surf beach that lies between the mouth of Currimundi Lagoon and Dicky beach. The spot is an exposed beach break, offering very reliable surf conditions. Here you are able to explore the waves with swell sizes from 1 m/3 ft and holding up to 2.5 m/8 ft. The best wind direction is from the west and the ideal swell direction is from the east, southeast. In addition, the best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the optimum period for waves is winter.
The average water temperature is around 28°C/82.4°F in summer and around 20°C/68°F in winter. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 7%, in autumn the wind blows at 15%, in winter at 28% and in spring at 11%. Keep in mind that, it is a crowded site, especially during weekends. Last but not least, on the north side of the beach is the Currimundi Environmental Park, where you can enjoy trails surrounded by bushes and greenery, that lead to the beach and the Currimundi Lake. Note: be careful of sharks and jellyfish.
