False Bay is a body of water characterized by Cape Hangklip and Cape Peninsula, located in the southwest of South Africa. The bay is 30 km/18.7 mi wide, offering a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and wet damp winters. The east and western shores of the bay are rocky and mountainous with visible peaks rising from the waters, while the northern side comprises a long, curving beach.
False Bay is known for its rugged coastline and rafting starts from the spectacular Bikini Beach towards the mouth of Streenbras River. The warm waters at this bay offer an amazing sea rafting experience with magnificent scenery!!!
Exploring the little bays and coves within is not conducted too far away from the coast and you can expect to see bottled nosed and common dolphins, southern right whales, cape fur seals and occasional whales.
The route has a cliff jump which is almost a 15 m/49 ft plunge!!! You need to be prepared for this plunge to add more fun to the whole rafting adventure!!!
