Palm Beach is an exposed beach break that provides with the right conditions for kite-surf. The spot is appropriate for intermediate and expert kiters alike. The waves are usually between 1-4 ft / 0.3-1.2 m and the best wind direction is from the northeast. The ideal swell direction is from the southeast.
In summer northeast sea breeze is between 11-20 knots and the wind blows offshore at 15%, in autumn the wind blows at 35%, in winter northeast sea breeze is 15-40 knots and the wind blows offshore at 50% and in spring at 23%. The swell size starts working at less than 3 ft/1 m to 10 ft/3 m.
Best months for kitesurfing are January, February, March and December. The average water temperature is about 21°C / 69.8°F. Palm beach has a large area to launch and land your kite, so keep a distance off of surfers and flags and do not kite through groups of surf schools.
