Waihe’e Valley Trail is also called Swinging Bridges because of the two wooden swinging bridges the hiker must cross.
It is 3.8 mi/6.11 km long (out and back) about three hours hiking and is suitable for all skill levels. The trail leads you through lush tropical forest, huge trees and two wooden swinging bridges over Waihe’e river. The bridges are not very high but not steady at all, so you need to be careful when you cross them. The end of the trail leads you to a man made diversion dam and waterfall where you can have a refreshing swim. Don’t forget your swimming suite.
