Stevens Pass Route, or else US-2 W highway, starts from Leavenworth Town and leads to Stevens pass mountain. It is 70 mi/112 km long, out and back, with an elevation gain of 4000 ft/1219 m. The difficulty level of this ride is in category two, not suitable for beginners.
The road goes mostly uphill and it is well traveled by cars, so cyclists should be careful. It is a wonderful long ride, with no technical difficulties, but a good physical condition is required. You will ride through dense forest with amazing views of the Cascade Mountains and many nice spots along the way where you can stop and rest.
Stevens Pass Route is a great ride for bicycle enthusiasts to escape the city and take a deep, refreshing breath of fresh, clean mountain air. Don’t forget to take with you water.
