500ft/152m
Skill level required:

Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Drury Falls is considered to be one of the crown jewels of Washington’s ice climbing. The position of the waterfalls and the possible approach difficulties, combined with high avalanche danger and a long descent, make this spot an extreme adventure for nature lovers.

There are two distinct sections to climb. The lower section can be climbed in two moderate, full length pitches. After the second pitch, you reach the base of the upper falls. You will have to go through a wide area with almost 500 ft/152 m of steep climbing. Once you reach the top of the falls, there are two descent options.

You can either walk off to climber’s right with a short rappel, or make a lengthy more difficult rappel and down climb back to the base of the waterfall. Drury Falls is an amazing ice climbing experience, suitable for all skill levels, but climbers should not underestimate any part of this adventure and always check the weather conditions. Climbers should take a 196 ft/60 m rope and headlamps with them.
