Lenore Lake Caves were used by the native Americans as a gathering point, thousands of years ago. Today, seven of them are accessible by the trail. The route is 2 mi/3 km long, out and back, about one and a half hours hike, with minimal elevation gain.
The trail leads you to the series of caves, where you can admire falcons nesting in the vertical cliffs and hunt for reptiles or birds, as well as petroglyphs inside the caves. The area provides also with a notable selection of wildflowers to observe. The best time to hike this trail is from April through July.
