Queenscliff beach is 1.4 km/1531 yd long and it has the whiter and finer sand than any other northern beach of Manly.
Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes from 3-5 ft (1-1.5 m) to 8 ft (2.5 m). The best tide movements is rising and falling tides. The beach is appropriate for all kind of surfers.
Offshore winds blow from the Northwest. In summer the wind blows offshore at 14%, in autumn the wind blows at 17%, in winter at 16% and in spring at 17%. The best period for surfing is in autumn. The average water temperature is about 21°C/69.8°F .
Note: the beach gets crowded during weekends. Apart from surfing, there is a variety of activities, attractions, restaurants and bars available along Sydney’s northern peninsula.
