The ideal tide position is low and mid tide and the best tide movement is rising and falling tides. In addition, the optimum wind direction is from the south, southeast and the ideal swell direction is from the north and northwest.
If you hate beach crowds, then you should avoid visiting this place at weekends. Keep in mind that Chatarras offers both left and right hand waves. Finally, Puerto Rico has a great number of surf schools, in case you want to brush up your skills or improve your technique. Note: be careful of urchins and localism.
