The Illes Medes (in Catalan) or Ilsas Medas (in Spanish) is a wonderful small group of seven islets in the northwest Mediterranean Sea. They are situated east of the coastal town of L'Estartit.

It is a shore dive, with easy access at the beach, then swim in a southerly direction until reaching the rock wall. It is appropriate for all divers and it can be explored all year long. The maximum depth of the spot is at 10 m/32 ft and visibility ranges from 5 m/16 ft to 10 m/32 ft. Note for advanced divers: it is also a wonderful night dive.
