The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory, situated northwest of Jamaica and south of Cuba, in the western Caribbean Sea. Skeloudi Island or Skeloudi Reef is a rocky islet that lies on the west coast of the island. Divers will be amazed by the abundance of sea life and the excellent visibity of the spot, as it ranges up to 30 m/98.4 ft. It is probably the most popular dive site here and is addressed to experienced divers only, due to its depth. The average depth here is 15 m/49.2 ft and the maximum 60 m/196.9 ft.
Once in the water, you will see a reef full of fish, including schools of sea breams, parrotfish, moray ells, crayfish, octopus and barracudas. In addition, beautiful collections of colourful sponges, corals and stars are also attractions of this amazing location. Keep in mind that, you should book your dive in advance, as access to Skeloudi Island is only by boat.
