There is a pretty popular trail situated in Palos Heights, a Chicago suburb that is waiting to challenge you to overcome the obstacles and conquer it. Palos Hills is a 30 mi/48.3 km network of trails with varying difficulty, from easy trails, perfect for a scenic ride to hardcore singletrack, steep climbs, log jumps and downhills.
Some of the trails are shared with equestrian riders. Palos Hills has miles of natural made singletrack and the marked trails are also a blast, as they are small loops that flow nicely.
If you decide to explore the unmarked trails, they are a lot more technical with steep inclines/declines and large rock gardens. Riding these trails is a very pleasant surprise with nice flowing singletrack that contains some surprisingly good climbs, worth the visit.
