Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong. Shui Hau Wan Beach is ideal for beginners and is mainly used for kite boarding, as the water is choppy to flat and cloudy and thus only few swimmers show up. There are schools operating on the spot, where you can arrange lessons, as well as gear rentals and showers.
