Ticknock is situated at the northeastern foothills of Dublin Mountains and is a very famous site for outdoor activity. There is no better way to discover the beautiful scenery of Dublin and admire stunning coastal views, than organizing a tour with mountain bikes.
Ticknock is a challenging, technical trail that accommodates the more adventurous mountain bikers. The trail is about 8 km/5 mi long and it is divided into sections. Approximately 4 km/2.5 mi of the way-marked loop are forest roads and bikers should be very careful of other forest users. The remaining 4 km/2.5 mi of the loop are single-track with some fast and open, rocky sections and some narrow, steep sections. The single-track features downhills, berm turns, fire-road climbs, jumps and drops, that test rider’s skills.
Keep in mind that the site is exposed and can be very windy in bad weather. So, it is advisable to wear a helmet at any time. Finally, there are highly qualified instructors at your disposal, in order to have an unforgettable experience.
