An off – road trail system that is put deeply in the shade lies in Chattahoochee National Forest, near Jasper and is perfect for Quad Biking. Rock Creek Trail System has 6 mi/9.6 km of mostly gentle Quad trails, several creek crossings and gradual elevation changes. The main trail is a loop that ties into the Tatum Lead OHV Trail.
The entire trail system rests at an elevation of 1500 to 2500 ft/457 – 762 m and the trails are marked, not rated and lightly maintained. It is an open system, so there is no entrance or riding fee and the features are all natural. Loose dirt, mostly hard pack, mud, dust, rocks, a few steep hills, water crossings, some berms and of course as in any forest a lot of trees!
If you are a nature and sports enthusiast, this spot will thrill you. The trail system is opened all year round. There are some limitations, if you want to drive your ATV there, such as noise limit of 96 dB and maximum width of the vehicle must not exceed 50 in/127 cm.
Pay attention to hazards. They are assumed to be marked, but please be careful and drive with caution. The trails are suitable for all levels of experience, so this trail system is for everyone who loves driving in the woods. It is suggested that you stay the entire day enjoying the nature.
