Mountain Biking in Tampines Bike Park, Pasir Ris, Singapore

Pasir Ris in Malay means "beach bolt-rope", simply implying a narrow beach. It is geographically divided into three regions, namely Loyang (East) Central and Elias (West). Due to its proximity to the sea, it has several recreation facilities and has a keenly preserved mangrove forest with boardwalks to allow visitors get closer to the inhabitants. The full length of the park is around 6.6 km/4.1 mi long.

Famous for its biking trail, the Tampines Bike Trail was used as a cycling venue during the 2010 summer Youth Olympics. The spot has also hosted a number of mountain biking marathon events, attracting hundreds of participants from the region. The bike park is made up of 2 cycling tracks, the mountain bike trail and the BMX track. It is situated on a 60 ha/0.60 km² site space, the current mountain biking trail is 10 km/6.2 mi long.

The trail offers a number of climbs and challenging contour rides and accommodates the intermediate rider. Tampines Bike Trail is sure to test your skills through your bike handling techniques and endurance. Sixty percent of the track is comprised of single tracks, providing a challenging overtaking technique.

How to Get to Destination

BY CAR FROM Changi
8.2km/ 5.1 Miles 12 minutes
Head south east toward Netheravon Rd and continue onto Changi Village Rd. Turn right onto Loyang Avenue and continue onto Tampines Ave 7. Turn right onto Tampines Ave 9 and then turn onto Tampines Ave 7 again and onto Sun Plaza.

Who Can Fly

Flyers must be 7+ years of age and above, 120 kg maximum if under 1.8m tall, 140 kg maximum if over 1.8 m tall, not pregnant, have no hard casts, nor be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No history of shoulder dislocation, back or neck injury.  

Pre-Flight Requirements:

· Flyers are required to check in 1 hour prior to the flight time as you will be required to attend professional training to ensure safety throughout your flight experience.

· Flyers will be required to reschedule flight if you fail to arrive on time for check in.

· There will be charge of S$ 30.00 for each flyer if you fail to reschedule your flight 48 hours prior to your flight time.

· There will be NO REFUND for any flight cancellation or No Show. No Show is defined as not showing up for flight.

· Be attired in T-shirts, shorts, jeans or pants. Ladies are advised not to dress in skirts or dresses.

· Wear closed-toe shoes with laces, preferably sneakers / track shoes. (charge of S$ 4.00 for a pair of iFly Singapore socks and rental of a pair of sneakers)

· Avoid wearing accessories like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, watches, etc.

· Flyers aged 18 and below must be accompanied by a parent / legal guardian or bring a copy of their photo ID or passport and a wavier form signed by a parent / legal guardian.

· Flyers are required to bring along their photo ID / passport for verification purposes.
