The Magdalen Islands or "I'les de Madeleine" in French form a small archipelago in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, with a land area of 205.53 km²/79.35 mi². Closer to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, the Magdalen Islands constitute part of the Canadian Province of Quebec.

St Kilda is a suburb of Melbourne at about 6 km/4 mi in the southeast of Melbourne’s CBD (Central Business District). The best wind direction is from the south, southwest. The spot is appropriate for beginners and advanced kiters alike.
St Kilda beach is very crowded with novice kiters learning on the water, so more experienced kiters prefer the sheltered area, a little further down.
