Mornington Peninsula lies to the southeast of Melbourne, Victoria’s capital city. It is surrounded by Western Port to the east and Port Phillips to the west. Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes from 1 m/3 ft and holds up to 2.5 m/8 ft.
The best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the ideal tide position is mid and high tide. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 71%, in autumn the wind blows at 56%, in winter at 45% and in spring at 65%. Offshore winds blow from the north and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest, south. The spot is suitable for experienced surfers. Keep in mind that during summer the swell is often smaller.
