Penguin Island is located at about 50 km/31.1 mi in the south of Perth. It is home to over 1200 fairy penguins and offers to locals and visitors stunning marine and coastal scenery. Shallow waters off the coast make snorkeling easy and suitable for beginners. The average depth of the site is at 0.3 m/1 ft and the maximum depth is at 0.5 m/1.6 ft.

Also, the area between Penguin and Seal Islands provides good snorkeling. Last but not least, you can reach the island via a ferry ride from Mersey Point Jetty, lasting for about 10mins.
