Legian beach is a popular beach break that is situated north of Kuta and south of Seminyak.
This spot offers the same easy access to public facilities with Kuta, but it is a more leisurely place. It provides reliable surf, especially during the dry season (May-October), when the water is warmer. The swell size starts working at 1 m/3 ft and holds up to 2 m/6 ft. The optimum wind direction is from the east and northeast and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. At summer the wind blows onshore 68%, at autumn it blows 25%, at winter 11% and at spring 53%. In addition, the ideal tide movement is rising tide and the best tide position is mid and high tide.
Furthermore, the spot accommodates beginners and intermediate surfers. Last but not least, be careful of localism and rips.
