St Kilda is a suburb of Melbourne at about 6 km/4 mi in the southeast of Melbourne’s CBD (Central Business District). St Kilda beach is a very famous location not only for the several festivals and events, but also for the several water-sports, including sailing, kite-surfing, windsurfing, and skydiving. The best wind direction is from the south, southwest. The spot is appropriate for beginners and advanced kiters alike.
St Kilda beach is very crowded with novice kiters learning on the water, so more experienced kiters prefer the sheltered area, a little further down. The site provides with many schools for lessons, in case you need.
