Mettam’s Point is a popular dive site and lies between Trigg Point and Hamersley Pool. The location offers ideal conditions for scuba training and snorkeling, due to shallow waters. The average depth here is at 2 m/6.6 ft and the maximum is at 3 m/9.8 ft. In addition, visibility is excellent, usually over 30 m/98.4 ft.
Divers are able to observe an outstanding marine life, with various sea stars, beautiful shells and colorful reef fish and other species, including western blue devil, crayfish, rays, old wives, schools of bream and red lipped morwong to name just a few. It should be mentioned that Mettam’s Point is usually crowded, especially during weekends. Last but not least, the dive site is appropriate for divers of all levels, especially for beginners.
