Mandurah is the second-largest city in Western Australia and it is situated at about 72 km/45 mi in the south of the capital city, Perth. The climate is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. The seaside town and all the section of the coastline attract a large number of tourists and sport enthusiasts all year long
4th Groyne or Mandurah is a popular surf site that is great when it works. The best wind direction is from the east and the ideal swell direction is from the west, southwest. Here you are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and hold up to 2 m/6 ft. In addition, the spot offers left hand waves.
In summer, the wind blows offshore at 25%, in autumn the wind blows at 40%, in winter at 40% and in spring at 26%. Furthermore, the surf break is suitable for surfers of all levels. The best tide movement is falling tide and the ideal tide position is low and mid tides. Keep in mind that, it is a crowded place with many surfers and body-boarders during weekend.
