Bronkies in Bronkhorstspruit area, is the most popular crag is the Gauteng region and offers superb rock climbing adventure. The spot used to be a trad climbing spot, but currently it has number of bolted routes as well. Located at the banks of the Bronkhorstspruit River, it has more than 50 routes with grading ranging between 11-27. Level of difficulty here is moderate and suitable for children as well.
It stands at an altitude of 1450 m/4757 ft with bolting sport climbing. The routes here mostly range between 15-25 m/49-82 ft long, although there are some 30 m/98 ft pitch available as well. The rock is mostly granite with vertical and slab profile and holds are mainly side pulls, crimps, cracks and slopers.
