Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Devil’s Gulch Trail is located on the Cascade Mountain, close to Wenatchee Town. It is 24 mi/38.6 km long, out and back and has an elevation gain of 3300 ft/1005 m. The single track in Devil’s Gulch is considered to be one of the smoothest and fastest in Washington.
The best time to ride this trail is from June to late October. It requires advanced mountain biking skills because it has long sweeping turns, sharp switch backs and steep descents. The fantastic view of the forest and the beautiful open meadows are rewarding. You will also come across a wide variety of plants and wildflowers to observe. Don’t forget to take with you plenty of water, energy snacks, a map and a compass.
