Icicle Canyon Route is located outside Leavenworth Town, at half an hour away from Wenatchee Town. It is 26 mi/41 km long, out and back, with an elevation gain of 1500 ft/457 m. The difficulty level of this ride is moderate, suitable for all skill levels and the maximum gradient of the terrain is at 8%. The road goes mostly uphill and it is well traveled by cars, so bicyclists should be careful.
Other than that, the route demonstrates no technical difficulties, but is long and a good physical condition is required. There are some nice spots along the way where you can stop and admire the view. Icicle Canyon Route is a great ride for bicycle enthusiasts to escape the city and take a deep, refreshing breath of fresh, clean mountain air. Don’t forget to take with you water and a map.
