Alpine Meadows is popular to snowboarders. You will meet beginners’ terrain in front of the main day lodge. If you need lessons, the Alpine Meadows Snow sports School offers VIP first timers’ lessons in small groups. For the intermediate snowboarders, there are many options.
The Front side is covered by groomed linked trails. From the top of Scott Chairlift until down Scott Ridge, there is a long fast run, which is linking up with East Creek and cruises all the way back to the base of Hot Wheels Chair. Most intermediate terrains are on the Backside around the Lakeview Chair.
There are perfect for long wide carving turns, outer limits and Shooting Star. Advanced snowboarders should try the Sherwood Bowl. Multiple descent options, cornice drops and steep faces from the top of Ward Peak lead to open terrain and treed areas back to Sherwood Express Chairlift.
If you want to make more advanced technical turns with drop offs and tight turns, Wolverine Saddle, Hidden Knolls Area and Sherwood Cliffs are perfect on powder days.
