Seven Fingered Jack mountain is one of the major drainages of the Cascade Mountains and the second highest scramble summit in Washington State. The top elevation of the mountain is at 9105ft/2775m high and is suitable for climbing from July to October.
It is named after Seven Figered Jack because of the rough formations of steep rocks, once called Entiat Needles. The mountain is a great spot for scramble climbing for all skill levels. Beginners can follow the Southwest slope route and enjoy a long walk up until the summit. Meanwhile intermediate and advanced mountain climbers can challenge their limits with bushwhacking and off trail scrambling all the way up.
Seven Fingered Jack summit can be reached in one day, but for the most adventurous climbers, this climb can be combined with Mount Maude mountain, as a three days trip. Camping is allowed in numerous campgrounds along the approach trails. If you visit the mountain in early season, take an ice axe and crampons with you.
