Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area is the land with the most amazing variety of wildflowers in the state. The trail is 8 mi/12 km long, out and back, about six hours hike, with minimal elevation gain. There are two trails you can follow. The first trail leads you along a long ridge across Whiskey Dick Mountain while the second one leads you to the bottom of Rocky Coulee.

Both trails will give you the opportunity to admire a wide carpet of blooming wildflowers and many wild animals. It is possible to see or hear coyotes hunting all around this coulee country. The best time to hike this trail is from September through December. Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area Trail is a perfect and rewarding destination for nature enthusiasts, of all skill levels.
