Bermuda is considered by many as the wreck capital of the Atlantic, because it is surrounded by hundreds of shipwrecks, the majority of which can be rated as outstanding dive sites. Hermes was an American freighter that sank in 1984.
Nowadays, it lies in 24 m/79 ft of water, teeming with sea life. It nestles in Horseshoe Bay and it is very popular among diving lovers, as it remains almost intact. The visibility of the site is probably the finest in Bermuda and divers can explore its engines, galley and cargo hold. The water temperature varies between 19 °C/66 °F and 26 °C/78 °F.
In addition, the ideal period to visit the spot is during spring and fall months. Note that access to the location is by boat and it accommodates all divers. Undoubtedly, Hermes is one of the best wreck dives in Bermuda, so do not miss the opportunity to visit it!
