Mount Elbrus, the dormant, double-coned volcano is the highest point in Europe and accepts a big amount of ambitious mountaineers every year, who want to conquer its summit.
While climbing Mount Elbrus, daring mountaineers will experience one of the famed Seven Summits. Mount Elbrus climb, having 22 glaciers on the mountain, is the ideal introductory experience for anyone, who has strong fitness level and wants to build glacier travel skills.
If you are an advanced skier with off piste skiing experience, you can also build an Elbrus ski experience into the trip. Climbing on the mountain is long and strenuous, but totally worth it.
You wake up at 3 am, have a quick breakfast and board the snowcat, which takes you to the previous high point of the mountain at 4572 m/15000 ft. From there the climb begins with crampons, ice axe and ropes.
The sun will be high on the mountain, giving energy for the final push. From the summit you will enjoy well deserved views of the peaks that surround the area, before making a quick descent back to the hut.
