Chicagoland Speedway is a race track facility situated in Joliet. Adjacent to its sister track, the legendary Route 66 Raceway, the Chicagoland Speedway is a D-shaped and tri-oval speedway. The facility is a stock car track that mostly hosts NASCAR races. With its huge capacity of 75000 spectators, it can handle big-ticket events.
All of the seating is located between the turns 1 and 4, spanning the start/finish line. The entire area covers 930 ac/3.76 km² of land, promising drag racing enthusiasts a thrilling show!! The grandstands are 15 stories tall, they have 75000 seats, 30 suites and are 2480 ft/756 m long.
The infield has a media center of 3500 ft²/325 m², a care center of 3900 ft²/362.3 m² and 626 RV spots. Its dimensions are 1200 x 2850 ft/365.8 x 868.7 m. The pit road has 43 stalls for stock cars and 34 for open-wheel.
The oval track is 1.5 mi/2.4 km long. Turns 1 and 2 have the banking turn at 18 degrees with 55 ft/16.8 m width and 27 ft/8.2 m apron, having the exact same features.
