If you love mountain biking freeride, you should visit the Lynton Trails (15 min drive from Adelaide). There is a great variety of trails you can choose from, depending on your level of competence (from easy to really tough and demanding downhill trails for the advanced rider).
Overall you can find a freeride zone, a 4X track, a pump track, as well as the legendary Tunnel X-over trail with many jumps, bumps and several steep sections. As far as distances are concerned, it depends on what you really want. There are trails which you can ride for an hour or so, as well as DH and freeride trails, that will definitely keep you busy for more than two hours.
Note: DH riders must wear full-face helmets and body armours.
