Mossel Bay is a beautiful coast, located in between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, at 400 km/248 mi of distance both ways. It is surrounded by the sunbathed peninsula and the beautiful waters of the Indian Ocean. It offers a mild climate all year round, making it a perfect winter break destination. The weather is influenced by the Aghulas current of the Indian Ocean and by the presence of the Outeniqua mountains.

The Outeniqua giant yellow-wood trees in the Tsitsikamma Forest offer great canopying platforms and a rich in bird-life scenery. The platforms are placed on a long steel that is suspended at 30 m/98.4 ft above the forest floor. Before embarking on the 2.5-3 hour adventure, there is a safety drill where the full body harness, pulleys and climbing equipment are checked before being issued.

The tours are normally guided to ensure safety as you glide from one platform to the other. There are 10 platforms and 10 “fufi” slides with the longest at 100 m/328 ft. Blend in the enchanting surroundings with encounters like the Vervet monkey, kynsa loeries and the elusive Narina trogon.
