Costa Brava is a coastal region situated in northeastern Spain and it stretches from Blanes, 60 km/37 mi northeast of Barcelona. It has a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot summers and cold winters.

In Costa Brava adventure and tranquility can greatly be combined. It is a place that offers the right conditions to foreign visitors for the best holidays. But how can you enjoy the best holidays without performing the adventurous activity of windsurfing?

Platja de Pals, which is located in Pals Village, 45 km/28 mi east of Girona, is a famous beach that gathers all watersports enthusiasts. It is a more than 5 km/3 mi long beach covered by golden sand. When Tramuntana wind blows, it creates some decent waves, which enable windsurfers to perform some extreme tricks. Platja de Pals is considered as one of the finest beaches in Spain.

It usually hosts families and teenagers, but some parts of the beach are for nudist. Another point in its favor is the fact that Platja de Pals hosts many windsurfing international competitions. The beach is surrounded by some pretty apartments and cozy local bars.
